ell began practicing asana in 2000 while living in London, and soon after streamlined her practice to ashtanga.  her first Mysore style (self practice) was “an epiphany,” and inevitably she ended up practicing for 3 months in Mysore, India, making a return trip in 2008.

the aim is to create a space for people to assimilate with their breath and the posture, stimulating opening and shape shifting.  the ashtanga sequencing cleanses and detoxifies the body and mind, increasing strength and flexibility for both.  her teaching style is traditional and straightforward, laced with philosophical quips and dry humour.

teachers include Pattabhi Jois, Sharath and Saraswati Rangaswamy, Noah and Kimberly Williams, James Butkevich, Dominic Corigliano and Anne Nowell.  in addition to asana, she studies pranayama and other yogic sciences and philosophies and is an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor via the Kerala Ayurveda Academy.
